Octo Browser vs Gologin: Updated Review 2026

TLDR: I’ve gathered the main points of comparison into a quick table at the end.

Today, as part of my comparison series, I will look at a browser quite popular in the Russian market – Octo Browser. This browser was created by a team from Belarus in 2020 and has since become quite famous in the Russian speaking world of marketing and advertising.

What’s changed in Octo Browser in 2026? Has it changed for better or worse? Let’s see!

Update: One important point from our testing is that Octo Browser was detected by the IPhey fingerprint checker, indicating that certain identifiable browser characteristics remain. When an antidetect browser is recognizable by public fingerprint checkers, it can increase the likelihood of scrutiny from major platforms like Facebook and other services, potentially affecting account trust and long-term multi-account workflows.

At the main website and download page, nothing’s changed here since our last review. Octo Browser positions itself as a universal antidetect browser for managing multiple accounts on any platform. This is exactly what is stated on the main page of their website – browser for multi accounting.

Disclaimer: Octo team doesn’t offer a free plan or a trial period, even if you personally request an Octo Browser trial period in the support chat. This time, I performed my 2026 tests on Trial plan with a discount code I successfully found online. However, 29€ Starter plan also has serious limitations even for a simple evaluation.

User Interface: As Good As Used To Be

As always, things are not bad with Octo in 2026. The UI is as clean and does not cause rejection. However, at the first login I didn’t see any tooltips or tutorial steps for new users.

Nevertheless, Octo is quite intuitive and easy to learn – at least if you know what you’re going to do there.

The new profile creation screen is not too cluttered or dazzling. Settings are split into sections. There are not too many adjustments for advanced use.

Creating profiles and setting up proxies in Octo is quite easy. Most of the important fingerprint settings have an auto mode.

Work with proxies is a separate page, and in the Profile table you can only arrange saved proxies to your profiles. Proxy section still misses simple proxy editing: I made a typo and had to recreate my proxy twice. Not perfect. This might be a limitation of a trial plan, which still doesn’t make sense to me.

The limitations are still cruel: on Starter plan (29 euro for 10 profiles) you can add only 1 (one) proxy server. Once again: on this plan all your 10 profiles will work from under one proxy, or with no proxy at all. On all other plans, the number of proxies is limited by the number of profiles.

Proxy limitations on paid plans are at best unsafe.

In 2026, I still don’t understand why the test plans have limitation that exposes the accounts of inexperienced users to the danger of being blocked. It can be dangerous to continue if you don’t want a higher tier.

Proxy Integrations

Octo has recently introduced built-in proxies, which is a great plus. You can now buy GBs from three (unknown) providers right in the app. The process is pretty much straightforward: top up to get and use the residential IPs.

Seems like some traffic will be included in paid plans, although the Pricing page doesn’t offer it.

Buying IPs is straightforward, but there’s almost no info on any of these three providers: these might be future side brands of Octo.

On the whole, I found the Octo browser’s interface to be pretty decent, but it turned out that simplicity means a serious compromise with functionality. I’ll show you how later on.

Comfort of Use: Same Old

Just like before, Octo is not a good fit for managing a large number of profiles. Mass actions (working with cookies, bookmarks, extensions) are almost non-existent here, as well as mass launching. This is critical for affiliate, paid ads or crypto, where you sometimes have to operate hundreds or thousands of profiles.

There are more mass actions than before. They are now hidden in the three dot menu near Move to Trash button.

Mass profile actions are still limited. There is also a lack of organization into folders or categories. The lack of folders is exactly the case when the simplicity of the browser plays a bad role and complicates the work, especially for teams.

In general, profiles in Octo start and stop quite quickly and without any problems. At the time of the test, the Octo browser only allows you to import profiles and cookies. You can view, delete or correct cookies only through extensions or third-party sites.

Mobile devices and fingerprints

An important point in terms of convenience is remote access from different devices. Unlike Gologin, Octo offers neither mobile nor web versions for remote work. You won’t be able to install Octo Browser Android app. In 2026, this is already a serious limitation: many browsers already offer mobile apps, and Gologin even has a full-on web version with cloud-based profile launch.

I should also note the lack of mobile fingerprints. If you’re running TikTok or another mobile platform, being unable to use Octo Browser iOS fingerprint this can be a critical point for you. Most alternative browsers, including Gologin, have already had mobile fingerprints for a long time.

Update: This has changed. Octo Browser now offers native apps for both iOS and Android, promoted directly on its pricing page along with a promotional offer of 100 free profiles for new mobile users. This reverses what we found in our original testing at the time, Octo had no mobile presence at all. We haven’t yet tested the mobile app’s feature parity with the desktop version, so treat this as confirmation that mobile access now exists, not a full endorsement of how well it performs.

Linux as profile OS is still unavailable. The OS is detected automatically and can be used in previous versions, which is a plus.

Both Octobrowser and Gologin allow users to run the subscription from any number of devices.

Support and updates

You can see Octo updates right in your browser under the bell icon next to the settings. Octo team keeps a good eye on the community and responds to users quite often. An English-speaking community is there as well, but it’s not as big.

Tech support also responds quite quickly – both in the Octobrowser app and in Telegram. During the test I didn’t encounter any technical problems, so I can’t say how quickly they are usually solved.

On the Live chat, there is a help section with good documentation and even detailed video instructions in English and Russian. I found these tutorials clear enough for a new user to understand the basics of account management.

At the time of the test, Octo is only available in Russian and English. This doesn’t seem a problem, considering that most Octo Browser reviews come mostly from the Russian speaking space.

In 2026, Octo also has a 2FA system which is a complete security necessity.

Passing Checkers

This time Octo did not pass the Pixelscan and IPhey checkers with a default new profile, showing some inconsistency on fingerprint side.

However, Octo still has a good reputation considering safety of user data. Iphey was passed with flying colors, just like before.

Octo Browser has never faced personal data breaches (unlike the notorious Dolphin Anty, Adspower or Incogniton) – credit goes to Octo team.

Gologin browser is a good alternative to Okto browser

At first glance, Octo Browser seems quite similar to Gologin in terms of overall functionality and interface. However, unlike Octo, under the simple and minimalistic interface Gologin contains much more powerful functionality.

Gologin is well suited for both solo use and professional teams of any size due to its affordable prices and more advanced functionality.

Let’s compare Octo Browser to Gologin, and at the end take a look at prices and rates.

Features and comfort of use: what’s changed in 2026

Gologin is optimized for new, non-technical users, which is obvious from their UI.

For example, both Octo and Gologin now support one-click profile creation, however Gologin both profile and proxy creation take only one click. It is a massive time saver compared to most alternatives, including Octo.

You can now create a profile and assign a proxy in seconds – one click for each action.

Under the hood Gologin has a better level of features with less limitations. Unlike Octo, Gologin has:

2. More advanced fingerprint settings
3. Built-in free and paid proxies right in the browser
4. 2Gb Proxies included in all paid plans
5. Mobile app and web version with cloud-based profile launching
6. Profile Folders with access for partners
7. Ability to run the browser on previous versions of Chrome kernel

Both Octo and Gologin now offer customization of the main profile space. However, Gologin’s system looks better allowing users to simply drag and drop both columns and profiles.

Profiles can also be grouped for easier access. Even a very large team can be organized here without any hassle.

Proxy Integrations

I already mentioned Octo and Gologin both have built-in proxies.

Apart from standard Residential IPs, Gologin also offers decent quality Mobile proxies, which is a great plus. All paid plans include 2Gb of Residential traffic renewed every month.

Gologin now offers top quality residential and mobile IPs in-app.

Mobile app and web version

Unlike Octo, Gologin has a web version, which can be accessed from any of your devices. From there, you can launch and edit profiles without a computer: they will work on a safe cloud server. Gologin is also available as an Android app.

For comparison, you can download Octo browser only for Mac and Windows, as well as for Linux in beta version.

Support quality

Gologin support team quickly responds to all user requests and tries to help in any situation. Gologin managers conduct user campaigns to collect customer feedback and suggestions, making browser updates as relevant as possible.

The live chat has guides and docs on using Gologin.

In their feedback Gologin users ofter say their problems were solved by chatting with the team or through browser updates.

Updates frequency

The Gologin team updates the browser quite often and does everything necessary to keep user data safe and take user needs into account. Updates are automatic: you just need to restart the browser.

Clients often praise Gologin for the stable profile work in 24/7 mode without downtime. The 99,9% stability factor over several years is often the reason why users move from Octo Browser antidetect and other alternatives to Gologin.

Let’s move on to the final part of the comparison: plans and pricing.

Octo Browser vs Gologin – Pricing

Free plans and trial periods

Octo Browser stance on free access has softened slightly. There’s still no permanent free tier and no traditional trial for the desktop app, you’ll still need to pay at least €29 (Starter) or €10 (a new, cheaper Lite tier covering 3 profiles) to get in the door.
However, Octo now advertises a promotion for new users signing up through its iOS/Android apps: 100 profiles at no cost. We couldn’t confirm the exact terms, duration, or whether this converts to a paid plan automatically, worth checking directly before assuming it works like a standard free trial.

Gologin still offers both: a forever-free plan for 3 profiles plus a 7-day trial of paid features, with no ambiguity about terms or expiration.

Paid plans

If you are self-employed or run your own company, you know very well: business software must pay for itself, and it must pay well. Therefore, price is the most important consideration when choosing a commercial browser, especially at the team level.

Let’s take a closer look at the paid plans and prices of Octo and Gologin, and calculate the costs taking into account different scenarios and scales of work. For the sake of objectivity, I will consider a monthly payment option, but I will also take into account discounts for paying for a longer period.

Personal use

Octo’s first paid plan (Starter, 10 profiles) will cost you €29 per month. Roughly speaking, almost nothing can be actually done on this plan. All the features are so limited that I simply can’t consider Starter as an option for any kind of work. It’s only suitable for personal anonymity needs.

The second paid plan (Base, 100 profiles) costs €79 per month. A similar Gologin plan (Professional, 100 profiles) costs $49 per month. That’s more than half the price. Gologin gives a week of free trial for testing.

Octo offers a more flexible discount system: if you pay for 3, 6 or 12 months, you can get a discount from 10 to 30%. Gologin offers a discount only for a yearly payment, but it compensates with a generous 50% discount. This makes the price difference with Octo even greater.

Team plans

Octo’s core tier pricing hasn’t changed: Starter (€29/month, 10 profiles), Base (€79/month, 100 profiles, API access), Team (€169/month, 350 profiles, 3 team members), and Advanced (€329/month, 1,200 profiles, 8 team members), all unchanged since our last check, aside from the new €10 Lite tier sitting below Starter. All tiers now let you pay extra to raise your profile ceiling — up to 30 on Starter, 200 on Base, 600 on Team, and a striking 100,000 on Advanced.

Gologin entry-level Professional plan now costs $9/month (or $4.50/month billed annually) for 100 profiles matching Octo’s €79/month Base tier in profile count at roughly an eighth of the price. Gologin’s Business plan costs $119/month ($59.50 annually) for 300 profiles, comparable to Octo’s €169/month Team tier (350 profiles) at a lower price with fewer default team seats bundled. Gologin’s Enterprise plan costs $299/month ($149.50 annually) for 1,000 profiles, close to Octo’s €329/month Advanced tier (1,200 base profiles) again cheaper on Gologin side.

Verdict: Despite real product improvements mobile apps, a cheaper Lite entry tier, clearer add-on pricing, and expanded payment options the fundamental price gap between Octo and Gologin hasn’t closed. Gologin remains several times cheaper at every comparable tier, and now matches Octo on mobile access too, closing what used to be one of Octo’s few genuine structural advantages.

Here’s the best advice: think about what exactly you need from an antidetect browser. I prepared some questions to help you choose the best antidetect for your situation:

3. How much are you willing to pay for a program to work?
4. Does the browser have a good reputation? What do reviews and forums say about it?
